Team chat & AI shop assistant

Screen printing shop chat that speaks in jobs, invoices, and customers.

Print shop team communication software built into the app that already runs your floor — plus an AI shop assistant that answers from your shop's own numbers and can't change a thing.

A thread in the app. Typing @ searches your own people, invoices, jobs, and customers — and the chip that lands is a link to the record.

A shop floor messaging app that knows what you're talking about

Most shops run on a group text nobody can search and a whiteboard nobody updates. This is the same conversation, attached to the work it's about.

Everywhere you already are

One panel, every page

The launcher sits in the corner of the admin dashboard and the worker view alike, so a press operator on an iPad and an owner on a phone are in the same room. The badge counts unread messages and open tasks together — a task somebody is waiting on outranks a message that can sit.

Whole shop, one roster

Floor and office, no separate app

Admins, managers, and workers all appear in the new-conversation picker. Conversations are scoped to your shop and visible only to the two people in them, and each side carries its own read state, so an unread dot means something.

References, not retyping

Tag the record, not a description

Type @ and search your own people, jobs, invoices, and customers. The message stores a reference, not a string — and the server re-checks each one on send, refreshing the label to the record's current name and dropping anything outside your shop. Click the chip and you land on the record.

The panel

Opens in the corner. Closes when you're done.

Conversations sort by most recent, unread ones sit in bold with a dot, and the Shop Assistant is pinned at the top where you can find it without hunting. Tasks assigned to you get pinned there too, with a count — because a task somebody is waiting on is louder than a message that can wait.

Nothing here is a separate login, a separate bill, or a separate place to check. It's the same app your jobs live in, which is the only reason a mention can be a real link.

An AI assistant for print shops, scoped to one shop: yours

It is not a chatbot bolted to a help center. It answers from a summary of your shop that ManagePrint assembles fresh on every question — and it says so when it can't.

What it has in front of it, every time

  • Jobs by status, and how many are active, completed, or waiting
  • Jobs completed in the last 14 days, and which day was busiest
  • Average minutes in prep, waiting on approval, and in production — with the sample size behind each average
  • Revenue paid in the last 30 days
  • How many invoices are overdue, and for how much
  • Your top five customers by revenue actually paid
  • Completed and active job counts for every worker account

And what it pulls when you @-mention something

  • A job — status, customer, due date, and its last six workflow events
  • An invoice — total, payment status, and due date
  • A customer — name, company, and email
  • A worker — jobs assigned by status, and how long the oldest active one has been open

The baseline summary stays lean on purpose. A record's specifics only get pulled when you actually point at it.

What it can't do

  • Change anything. It can't move a job, send an invoice, edit a customer, or post a message. It reads.
  • Read your team's direct messages or your job comment threads.
  • See quotes, line items, sizes, art files, or mockups — it knows how work is moving, not what's printed on it.
  • Tell you about hours, timesheets, or attendance. ManagePrint doesn't track them, so neither does it.
  • Reach anything outside your shop. Every query it runs is scoped to your organization.

Ask it something outside that list and it's instructed to name the metric it's missing instead of filling the gap with a number that sounds right.

Admins only

The assistant reports revenue, overdue balances, and per-worker output, so it's gated to admins on the Professional plan and up. It's a synthetic account with no login: it never takes a seat and never shows up in your team roster.

Rate the answer

Thumbs up or down on any reply. The vote sticks across reloads, and it's how bad answers get found instead of quietly tolerated.

A ceiling you can see

Each shop gets a daily usage allowance, with the percentage used shown right under the composer. When it's spent, the assistant says so and picks back up the next day.

Job comments

Some things belong on the job, not in a thread

“Customer approved it over the phone.” “Case came in twelve XL short.” Those notes have to be there in three weeks when the reorder comes in, and a chat thread is the wrong place to keep them.

Every job carries its own comment thread — stamped with who said it and what role they hold, with one level of replies so a follow-up stays attached to what it answers. Anyone with access to the job can read and add to it, floor included.

Case came in 12 XL short. Box is marked — don't ship until the count matches.

Customer approved the mockup over the phone, so there's no email to point at. Logging it here so nobody sits waiting on art.

Copy. Screens burned, running it on press 2 after lunch.

It speaks your shop's vocabulary

ManagePrint doesn't hand you one correct way to run a shop. It adapts to the one you already run — and chat inherits that.

Your records, your names

A mention chip shows the job name, invoice number, or customer name you gave it, re-read from the record at send time. Rename the job and the next message says the new name.

A worker can be a press

Shops set worker accounts up differently — a person, a press, a station, a crew. The assistant is told exactly that, and reports each one by its output instead of assuming there's a human behind the name.

Your workflow, measured

Phase timings come from the timestamps your floor actually logs as work moves, so the averages the assistant quotes are your shop's, not an industry benchmark.

Naming your own statuses and preproduction stages is its own subject. See how the workflow is configured.
